EMOTIV SYSTEMS SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR BRAIN RESEARCH

Extra compensation for Emotiv Systems Research Participants!

Our world class team of scientists is currently researching human emotion during
multimedia interaction. We are currently seeking volunteers to join us at
our Pyrmont office to partake in this exciting new research.

Our current experiment involves watching short film clips whilst having an electrical profile (EEG) of your brain taken, to determine the electrical activity of the brain and what parts of your brain are active during different emotional states and mental tasks.

This recording is taken using a 100% safe and painless headcap of sensors in our Pyrmont Wharf office overlooking Sydney Harbour [jonesbaywharf.com.au].

All participants will receive $20 to compensate their time as well as images of themselves in the headcap setup, a comprehensive personality assessment, and an emotional profile detailing their experimental performance.

If you have any questions or wish to arrange a time to come please contact us
by phone [9552-2559] or email;

Deborah Johnston (deborah@emotivsystems.com)
Michael Orr (michael@emotivsystems.com)

Feel free to distribute this email to anyone who you think may be
interested as all are welcome.

Warm regards,
Deborah Johnston

» Reminiscing Manning
How I miss the days when Manning was still a filthy, dingy old pub. And how we used to guzzle Tooheys Old the moment the clock struck midday everyday, Theatresports and Trivia hosted by Adam Spencer, and how the old uni crew considered it our safehaven. Then renovation year came in 1999, and we were left stranded at Wentworth. Shamefully I still own the Wentworth Bar shirt which I won during Wentworth Trivia. Talk about travesty?

"and all my friends are fuck-ups but they're fun to have around..."

Is is a bird? Is it a plane?...No. It's Sam Crosby coming to take charge of Manning Bar!
» Oddness.
I was just thinking to myself how odd it is that Manning was initially the building of the Sydney University Women's Union (pre-amalgamation), and yet it is called, well Manning.

As you said: Man. Men.

Hmmm. Curiouser and curiouser.
» "back when i was a young whipper snapper like yourself..."
wa-hey a community dedicated to Manning Bar. i don't go to sydney anymore, but i was around just after it got built. we were all wondering how they were going to make it financially viable, but then the olympics began and cha-ching home had to be relocated somewhere. then there were the transmission parties, and 2ser parties... those were my memories of Manning. stumbling through campus in the hours just before dawn all cranky from the comedown, wondering how the hell i'm gonna get back to Coogee and consigning myself to the inevitability of an expensive cab-ride.

it sounds like the food situation hasn't improved since i was there. never went there again after a dodgy experience with a banana smoothie, and it was too far away from my side o'campus anyways.

so how is sydney uni these days? it seems i've lost contact with all my old friends from there..
